Bok Choy Summary

IALT: Write a summary about 'Bok Choy'.
‘Bok Choy’ is a story written by Paul Mason and the setting of the story is in a chinese village. The main characters are Ah Sum (who is a man that sells bok choy), Mrs Bishop (who calls Ah Sum a chinaman and calls his bok choy chinese cabbages), Jacob (a boy who doesn’t like Ah Sum and has never seen the chinese village) and Jacob's mother (who is a lady that is Ah Sum’s usual customer). At the start of the story Jacob is helping his mother stack firewood when Ah Sum comes along to sell some bok choy to his mother and as he was Mrs Bishop looked at him with disgust and snapped “ I don’t know how you can eat that muck.” Jacob's mother replied “ It's called bok choy.” She gave Ah Sum a smile as he left. After Jacob’s mother and Mrs Bishop were both inside Jacob decided to go fishing because he was angry with Ah Sum. When Jacob got to the river he slipped off the rock and started drowning. When he woke up he had a sheet over him and there was a man hunched up in the corner. Jacob recognised it was Ah Sum and he had saved him from drowning. The way people described the chinese village he didn’t want to go. When his mother came to get him she was so thankful of Ah Sum for saving Jacob. At the front of the house there was something there. It was Mrs Bishop. “ I hope you're not  cooking those foul cabbages tonight.” She sneered. “ It's called bok choy.” She said. The End.
This was my summary on 'Bok Choy'. My favourite part in the story was when Jacob finally saw how nice Ah Sum was. What was your favourite part of my summary?
